Welcome!

My name is Richard Sizemore, I have more than 25 years of experience working in information technology and training individuals on how to use adaptive techniques and technologies. For a full list of my bona fides please feel free to check the credentials link above. I am creating this space to provide educational materials regarding accessible technology and cybersecurity. I will also be available for consultations should anyone want to contact me directly. My accompanying YouTube channel is still currently under development but if you find your way here please check back regularly. Here I intend to have links to the YouTube episodes and detailed instructions and show notes. It is my intention to update this over the summer to actually flesh the site out and get things up and running.

Here’s a brief overview though of what you can expect to find here. I’m going to cover instructions on how to do things that I don’t typically see in the accessible technology community. Specifically were going to cover topics that pertain to keeping yourself safe using accessible technologies and using adaptive techniques that I don’t see often talked about. Such as adaptive workflow. That is basically to say finding the most effective way for you to do what you need to do using accessible technology. I’m also going to cover some advanced topics here not touched on much in the adaptive technology world. So much of adaptive tech is you basically adjusting to what you need to use to get the job done. Not commonly talked about though is the fact that much of accessible technology can be modified and adjusted to suit your needs. Were going to cover some of that here as well. Everything from Jaws scripting to NVDA scripting and automation techniques that you can use to make your life easier. I find this approach fascinating and fun and I hope you do as well please come join me as we explore this together.

Please feel free to reach out to me and share your thoughts on essential techniques for adaptive technology. I’m trying to build this out to assist those who come my way so, please don’t be shy let me know what you’re working on and I’ll try to assist if I can.
